On this episode we discussed #Colorism with the #LatinX and Black communities. From how we see each other to how we view other cultures, we shared our thoughts. We touched on everything from skin lightening, to #blacklivesmatter, to stereotypes we tend to feed into. Marisa shared her experience as a #Latina growing up in #PuertoRico and then moving to #LongIsland, NY as a teenager. Tamieka on the other hand shared what its like for her as a dark skinned woman and how it affected her youth and pre teen ages. In this episode we also touched on the #CardiB and #MeganTheeStallion video to the song #WAP which had an appearance by #KylieJenner. We also, spoke about #BIGBROTHER. On this episode we discussed how politics has intertwined with public health specifically as it pertains to Covid-19. Our discussion touched on school openings, major sports restarts, protests and public gatherings. On this episode we discuss the Latino culture especially as it pertains to familial relationships and marriage. Marisa talks about the intricacies of her upbringing and where some members of her family stand when it comes to white identifying. We also talked about Goya and the backlash the company has received as a result of the CEO praising Donald Trump.
